Hermosillo , the capital of the State of Sonora is located 167 miles from the U.S border. It is considered one of northern Mexico 's most important cities due to its industrial, service and business tourism sectors. Furthermore, the city provides a large number of recreational, artistic, cultural, and historical places to visit.

It has an international airport with connections to Mexico and abroad. The State of Sonora has modern highways which run North to South, facilitating travel to and from any point.

Currently, Hermosillo is a modern city that possesses the necessary infrastructure to hold conferences, exhibits, national and international mass events.

Expo Forum is a modern convention center built on a total 170,000 square feet area, with parking space for 1,100 cars; 30,000 square feet of trade and exhibit space with handicapped access.
